LBU understands that the United States is a republic with a constitution that guarantees individual rights. It’s representative branch makes laws; the judicial branch determines the constitutionality of the laws of the land; and lastly, the executive branch administers the laws through all the agencies of the government.

The power of the government has continually expanded throughout this country’s history and is now encroaching upon and negating individual rights in the name of a "greater good" - the usual cry of tyrannical governments and engineered societies. This government has set up policies that foster a new structure and mores of society in direct conflict with the free choice of people and their traditional mores and organizations of self or cultural expressions -as exhibited in the traditional family, church, synagogue, private charitable agencies, etc. all of which derive from an uncoerced collections of individual decisions.

Additionally, the government and its agencies have set up "classes or groups" of people with specialized rights and preferences over other groups of people. This is in direct conflict with equality of rights and equal treatment under the law. This governmental behavior marks the death of individual rights and the construction of a socialistically-engineered society. Such a course is in direct conflict to the purpose for which people came to this country and founded it, in conflict with the desires of free and self-determining people, and directly contrary to the intent and writing of this country’s founding documents - the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution -including amendments.

Liberty Bell Union exists to prevent the on-going demise of individual rights and liberties -and those unalienable rights whose existence is instinctively known by freedom-minded men as recognized in the Declaration of Independence. LBU is fighting back wherever the government infringes upon such individual rights and liberties. LBU will expose tyrannical actions in academia, the lower schools, police organizations, business, the military, the judicial system and wherever else the government is imposing its agenda of social engineering contrary to the intent of the founding documents of this country.

Liberty Bell Union does not take political sides. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, public interest organization devoted exclusively to protecting the basic civil liberties of all Americans equally -not preferred rights of selected groups.

The mission of LBU is to ensure that the Bill of Rights -- amendments to the Constitution that guard against unwarranted governmental control --are preserved for each new generation and for all people.
